Sammy, an attractive budding model is unhappy with her well to do pakeha parents and meets Ricky, a good looking Maori boy living it rough on Cuba Street.
They enmesh themselves in romantic liaison also fuelled by drugs.
Sammy wants to raise money for her modelling career, funds denied by her rich father. Ricky is enamoured with Sammy. Sammy and Ricky engage in illegal fund raising including some street violence. One of their cohorts becomes seriously injured in a street type robbery encounter.
More money is now required for this friends overseas medical treatment for paralysis.
Sammy’s rich Accountant hypocritical father is somewhat dodgy. He visits local brothels and has been financing drug deals. An unknown triangle with one of his drug clients and prostitute he showers with monetary gifts emerges. Ricky coincidentally is also related.
The drug dealer associate feels betrayed by her father and to dad’s embarrassment publicly, exposes his Brothel visiting inclinations. Sammy is loosely aware of her father’s overseas drug dealing clients and along with Ricky, who has some I/T experience hacks Sammy’s dads computer. They intercept details on funding for an International drug deal and eventually divert finds for their own use and thus have the cash to travel overseas for both advancement of Sammy’s modelling career and the medical treatment for their friend.
Although at the end Ricky’s romantic ambitions take somewhat of a back seat, when Sammy also boards the plane with her rather attractive lesbian mate.
