After the world has long since ended, Thomas, an aging man and a remnant of the past meets Star, a young girl who has lived alone since her parents were killed by marauders 3 years ago. Alone in a world that no longer has any rules the pair form a bond that neither thought could exist anymore. As they fulfill their natural desires the haunting rules of the old world seek to undermine their need for love, sexuality and companionship when they meet Vanessa and her son Thomas. The group come face to face with the lost ideals of the past and must choose their own beliefs all while the world around them seeks to complete its cycle of death. After We Have Died explores questions of morality and sexuality in a post-apocalyptic world where the ideals of the past are lost and where human nature exists unbridled.
