In this future, Australia is the world’s new Superpower. Extreme weather patterns and severe drought conditions place a strain on Australia’s resources to provide food and water for their exploding population.

But what overshadows these dark times is the hope and excitement of seeing the Australian Spaceship Nexros successfully return from the first ever manned mission to Mars.

As Nexros enters Earth’s atmosphere the spacecraft suffers internal damage and crashes off the coast of New Zealand - three days later Australia and her Allies place New Zealand under Quarantine.

Unfortunately the only surviving Astronaut from the devastating wreckage of Nexros brought something else back with him from the planet... a highly contagious alien virus.

Within days the alien infection has rapidly spread across New Zealand. The horrendous symptoms are reminiscent of the bubonic plague but for the Infected the final stage is Rabid.

Survivors have barricaded themselves into their homes. Food and water are scarce. All forms of communication to the outside world are under black-out, but for one – the Australian Government’s Website, where one can hope for rescue by posting a message stating your name and location.

Siblings Ben and Abbie pound on the door of a house just on the outskirts of suburbia. Both are terrified. Both are screaming to be let in. There are survivors inside the house. They can hear them arguing, but so far no one’s opening the door...
