A small group of young female Christian university students celebrate New Zealand at Bastion Point on Waitangi Day; love, freedom and experimentation of every kind are enjoyed by all. The night is a celebration of friendship and freedom. New Zealand at her grandest; until it all goes wrong.
A tragedy befalls one of the young women as a poorly erected crucifix, bound to a flagpole carrying the Union Jack and the mighty Southern Cross, crashes down to Earth bringing death in its wake. Everything changes for all the young students. Miraculously, only one death occurred on that Waitangi Day, but unfortunately it also stole everyone else’s innocence.
Six years after that horrific night at Bastion Point, the young women, all of whom have since abandoned the Lord, reunite in a large secluded getaway. Situated in dense bush and a great distance from the nearest town, the girls meet for the first time since the tragedy. After the initial joy of the reunion, where their sisterhood is re-kindled in a night of passion that they had not experienced since their horrific night at Bastion Point, the former friends come back to reality. The young women realise that they have no idea who organised the reunion and that they have no way out. They are marooned in a forest location and have no communication with the outside world.
The wheelchair-bound mother of their dead friend inexplicably appears and announces that she blames the group of women for her daughter’s death at Bastion Point and now is the time for consequences, Old Testament style. Slowly death and bloodshed begins. As the young women begin to die, some of those try to find the killer, others simply seek a way out.
