A struggling single mother raising her teen daughter and young son flee the abusive drunk father to her own fathers town, where they also stuggle to settle there. One night the teen daughter runs away from home and as she walks past her grandfathers home, hears yelling and things smashing. She peers through the window and sees her grandfather dragging a dead body out into the hallway.
She goes home, shocked. A few nights later, she walks past again, and peers in, noticing her grandfather drinking. She knocks on the door, and as he offers her a drink, she confronts what the other night was about. He tells her that he is a murderer, and that her family should move elsewhere. But she is entrigued, and wants to learn more about his secrets, and how to commit... the perfect murder!
