Ben and Dan are best frienemies who aspire to be policemen, despite being unable to hold down a job. Ben is a wiry bogan that goes from zero to enraged in less than a second and Dan is a slight hipster with an encyclopedic knowledge of New Zealand law. Their ineptitude and lack of social grace has seen them quickly fired from every job either has had, leaving them with little hope of ever achieving their dreams. When they hit their third straight year on the benefit they decide to contribute to society the only way they know how: VIGILANTE JUSTICE.

When Ben and Dan burst onto the streets as 'Bludger & Dole' in their beat up hatchback, they soon run afoul of the ring of corrupt policemen that covertly rule the city. When their benefit is suspended, they consider throwing in the towel until police internal affairs recruits them to break the crooked cops. Have these well-intentioned idiots finally found a job they can succeed at?

Bludger & Dole are the bargain-basement buddy-cops only New Zealand could produce, think 'Flight of the Conchords' meets 'Bad Boys II'.
