Jake and his covers band “Stealth” plan to surf during the day and rock out at night on a summer tour of the Coromandel peninsular. Savvy in their use of marketing their gigs via social media, ticket sales soar and the boys believe they will be in for the time of their lives.
Stealth hires a truck and a couple of roadies to cart their gear around and to set up and pack down each gig. Stealth aims to surf the Coro’s best breaks during the day, roll up to a gig in the evening, play a couple of sets, get paid, get drunk and party with some of the local girls.
However, the travel, late nights, disagreements amongst band members and being in the shadow of local band “Iwi” all take their toll.
The planned summer becomes an emotional rollercoaster as they struggle to come to terms with fulfilling contractual agreements, jealousy, apathy and ultimately finding out that sex, drugs and rock’n’roll isn’t all its cracked up to be.
