Burleen Thompson has unashamedly repeated seventh form four times. Insolent and bratty, she’s the rollerskating scourge of Holmwood Community College, avoiding expulsion year after year through an illicit affair with headmaster Mr Matai. She loves nothing more than to terrorise her increasingly younger classmates, and nobody dares challenge her authority.

But when mysterious, beefy older student Morg appears in Burleen’s class, there’s a new contender for her crown. Burleen sets about reclaiming her position as the meanest fish in a pond full of guppies, and in the process discovers that this newcomer has a far more sinister intention: to scope out the student body as a sales target for his notorious drug-dealing gang.

When that gang takes Mr. Matai prisoner and takes over the college wholesale, Burleen must lube up her skates and neutralise the hallway-prowling gang members one by one before they can further harm the school she refuses to admit she loves.
