A 18 year old runaway from home detention and a 22 year old prison escapee, team up and try to avoid getting caught by the long arm of the law. Trying to follow in the footsteps of the classic ‘Goodbye Pork Pie’, we follow the two fugitives on their escape from the law. They head south from Auckland in a stolen Toyota Starlet and try to go unnoticed. But when the coppa’s finally catch up with them, it ends in a car chase that you’d only see in New Zealand. Bye-bye Eskimo Pie is a story of a growing friendship, a dilapidated Toyota and the New Zealand Police. It is sure to become one of those great Kiwi classics.
