Charlie & The Robot (on their treacherous mission to save earth)

It’s an alternate 1975 and Charlie, a 36 year old kiwi astronaut, lands his capsule onto the surface on Agon - an uninhabited & barren earth like planet that is hurtling through the Milky Way towards earth. Charlie’s mission is to destroy Agon before it collides with earth.

Along with him on this 1 week mission is the straight shooting and logical android BRET (Battle Ready Excavation Tool).

As they set about the long process of preparing the planet for destruction they discover their landing has damaged the bomb and they now must detonate it manually. Charlie knows this will cost him his life.

The reality of his sacrifice begins to set in and Charlie regrets signing onto this mission. He questions whether he is up to the task.

A garbled message comes through from mission control on earth but the rotation of the planet makes the transmission drop out before it’s complete. It sounded like the order was to abort.

In a race against time Charlie tries to re-establish communication with earth but his efforts are futile. As they get closer to the point of no return he must make a decision: abort or detonate.
