Cup Of Good Luck

Two awkward teenagers are on a school hiking/camping trip in the bush when while seeking some privacy for a toilet break; one of them stumbles onto a small, old wooden box. It has strange markings all over and it is locked. After showing it to his best friend the two boys decide to bring it home with them.

The morning after the two boys arrive home, they force the box open and discover inside an old wooden cup. It too has strange markings that they cannot decipher. Holding it down to study the markings on the bottom, they turn the cup back upright only to discover the cup, incredibly, full of liquid. It looks and smells no more harmless than water. The first boy takes a small taste and without meaning to, finds himself drinking the entire cupful. “Sorry…” he says, the other boy is disappointed but finds that when he too turns the cup, again it is full. Many cups are consumed. Later they boys find themselves in the midst of an incredible run of good luck and at the end of the best day of their lives and having made dates with the girls the most admire, they realise that this cup is a magical cup of luck.

The next day the boys meet before school and drink again from their cup and set off for another day of fortune, only to find that their luck has now turned horribly bad. No matter how much they drink from the cup, for days on end the most disastrous run of events conspire against them.

Now these two naive boys must weather the worst bad luck in their lives while finding what the markings mean and how on earth to stop it, all before their dream dates turn to disaster.
