MOLLY REYNOLDS and BRANDON DOUGLAS are getting a divorce. It’s not a big deal. They’ve been married three years, and been out of love with each other for the last two. The only sensible thing to do is to make it official.
Their business lives aren’t that much better either. The Waiheke vineyard they invested all their money into is a total bust, and is three days out from being foreclosed by the bank.
Ready to reinvent themselves and say goodbye to their old life together and their failed business, they decide to throw one last bash as a couple to officially sign the paperwork and mark the occasion-- A divorce party.
Fueled by copious amounts of terrible wine, and hosting a guest list filled with zany ex-lovers, potential new conquests, plus angry and still-in-denial family, the event soon devolves into hilarious chaos. In-laws clash, and guests bicker as private issues are made public. But somehow, amidst the escalating insanity, Molly and Brandon find themselves reevaluating their relationship.
And suddenly, when it comes time to do it, signing that divorce contract doesn’t seem like a foregone conclusion anymore.
