Soaked and with no belongings, hitchhiker Sharon is picked up in Bluff by freewheeling traveller Blair.

As they drive north, Blair becomes increasingly drawn to Sharon and her mysterious nature. He has no idea of the tragic scene she has left behind or where they are heading. Sharon's anxiety increases as she desperately holds onto a secret that may threaten the future of her community on Stewart Island - but how long can she hold onto it for?

Blissfully unaware of the danger he faces, Blair's dilemma becomes all too real as he learns the truth about where Sharon is from.
