Stage hypnotist Blake Rennick has always believed in his skills - but his performances only meet with failure. When his newest show bankrupts him and his girlfriend Lily dumps him, he takes a dive from the theatre’s rooftop, determined to take his own life.

Next thing he knows, Blake is in traction at the local hospital. Encased in bandages and unable to move or speak, Blake is every bit as useless as his elderly, comatose roommates. And when administered a mysterious IV drip after Lily begs her new doctor boyfriend to “end his suffering”, Blake slips into a coma - and into a dream state cohabiting a picturesque beachfront villa with his hospital roommates!

At first, Blake thinks it’s the afterlife. He lives like a king, getting a sweet tan, dating a sexy auto-accident victim, and drinking endless pina coladas. But when he starts getting flashes of his real-world existence and people start disappearing from the villa, the shared dream becomes a nightmare. Blake must use the hypnotic abilities he knows he has to get back to reality and save his roommates - and Lily - from an pharma-psychopathic doctor.
