A sci-fi black comedy about a group of neighbours (all dealing with their own 'real life' issues) who live in the thick of suburbia, and who meet clandestinely in remote, dilapidated abandoned glasshouses to enact their 'copy-cat' rituals of TV sci-fi programmes, through their secret elite 'UFO Outreach Club.'

Led by Captain Birk, donned in hired space costumes and armed with electrical scrapyard bits, they imagine blasting off into space, seeking to confirm and substantiate their hardcore belief of an alien existence.

That is, until one dark moonless night, they accidentally stumble across the hidden headquarters of an international drug centre/P.Lab, where its owners promptly find them and plot their imminent demise. Miraculously though, one member isn't detected, and through his efforts and earnestness we learn if a benevolent alien force really does come to the rescue.
