Synopsis.
A black comedy with a satirical heart.
Pinky Andrews is smart but unmotivated, preferring to spend his days under the duvet in his mother’s house playing World of Minecraft on the PS2 than looking for a job that doesn’t exist. When he is forced to attend a WINZ Business Enterprise course on the threat of losing his benefit, he finds himself teamed up with some of his old class-mates – dreamy piece of Road Kill Jessie who wants to be a Ninja, wanna-be gangsta Ben, Princess Marley the Krumper and done it tough ex-con Piripi, much older but not necessarily wiser.
Once they have got over themselves and knuckle down to the task at hand, they discover they have all the skills between them to form a company to rob the local bank. Their company, Hard Up (NZ) Ltd soon has a mission statement and a logo, even a business plan but when they actually come to put in into practise they find too late they have made one basic but important omission.
There is only two days left to come up with something else before the final presentations on the Friday. But miraculously they do and it proves to all of their amazement be the Key to a more positive future.
