Inspired by classic horror stories, Isolation Peak is a relentless tale of fear and terror.

Deep in the South Island of New Zealand sits Isolation Peak, a jagged piece of unforgiving rock at the summit of which sits a lonely wind scarred weather station. Far below at the snowline is a small cabin in which are staying a family of four.

Every day David Cameron an architect, watches over their two children; daughter Anna,16 and son Christopher, 12, while they wait for Sarah Cameron, a meteorologist to return from her daily treks to the Lower Reach, a substation two kilometres from the house where she monitors the Upper Reach summit station readings, observing an odd magnetic disturbance named the Lower Latitude Anomaly.
It is a quiet and routine existence for the family, especially the children who long to return to their normal life of friends and Facebook.

All of this is abruptly changed when at11.38pm on November 13th, a 7.4 magnitude earthquake centred 12 kilometres deep rips through the Earl Mountain range, shaking Isolation Peak and waking the family, who react in terror as the cabin falls apart around them and a harsh purple light sparks and flashes around the house.
The quake subsides, but as the shaking lessens they become aware that outside the cabin there is now no light or sound – the moon and stars have disappeared completely and there is only an inky, cloudy darkness that seems to press against the glass like a black mist.

They attempt to venture out but are forced back by the dark and the growing noises that emanate from it - there is something alive in that close moving blackness, something that crawls and shifts and breathes with a predatory malice.
As more aftershocks slam through the fracturing mountain and the lights in the house fail one after another, the family must stay in the light while retreating from the darkness as it spreads through the house, bringing with it unspeakable horrors...

This is an intense, claustrophobic tale of survival in the face of unimaginable fear, at the end of the world…on Isolation Peak.
