Keyboard Athl33t

A “Plus One Productions” FILM
WRITTEN BY Ashley Pitman

Keyboard Althl33t is a coming of age film set in rural New Zealand, where Jeremy, a happy go lucky teenager, with a soul passion for computer gaming, finds life incredibly challenging after failing at high school and being kicked out of his home by his step father, who despises the fact that Jeremys only goal in life is to be the best at computer gaming. After being kicked out of home, Jeremy falls back on his loyal group of friends Tommy, Sterling and Doug whom are all avid gamers.

After moving in with his mates, at first Jeremy enjoys having no one hassling him for only playing computer games, but as time goes on his friends grow weary of his inability to pay the weekly rent. He applys for a job at the local supermarket, where Jeremy meets the girl of his dreams. But this couldn't come at a worse time, as Jeremy is presented with an opportunity of a life time as he finds a poster advertising Xlan New Zealands biggest gaming tournament coming soon to Auckland City! But with a girl in his life his mind is clouded with new distractions which prove more entertaining than gaming for the time being.

However an unexpected visit from his mother proves more than a motivational boost, as Jeremy discovers that his mum is getting evicted from her home, and her partner is no longer around to provide the support that she needs. Jeremy now trains harder than ever before to get to the peak of his gaming career to take out arch rival Josh at Xlan and win the prize.
