A “Shattersplint Productions” FILM
WRITTEN BY Rewi Heke

Amelia walker is a young woman from Westminster, who has been shipped across the world to marry a man her powerful family has deemed an important investment.

Not long after arriving in this new rugged landscape, her armed escort is massacred and she is kidnapped by a rebellious Maori war party.
The chief is kind and respectful towards Amelia he helps her adapt to village life, a life style without routines, arranged marriages, and corsets, a life style she begins to enjoy.

At the news of his daughter’s disappearance, Amelia’s father sets off on a warpath with two hundred Red Coats at his back. As the conflict between the brutal Maori warriors and the disciplined Colonial army escalates, Amelia finds herself torn between the man she has come to love and the respect of her father.

We were brought up believing love conquers all, but the powers of a determined mind can be far more devastating.
