Ash Woodleigh goes to stay for a week in a tiny village in the middle of nowhere with her mad grandmother.
Four years ago, her older sister stayed in the same place while investigating a murder, but she disapeared.
Ash, a city kid, is bored stupid, untill she meets Blair, a mysterious girl who may have information about her missing sister.

But soon, Ash starts seeing the ghosts of three girls, all of whom are wearing the same beautiful dress.
And when she learns that they were all murdered BECAUSE of the dress, at the local yearly Masquerade Ball, and one of them was her sister, she has to decide whether to stay and find the truth, or escape while she's still
alive.

And then her newfound friend turns up with a very special dress for Ash to wear to the ball.............
