New Year's Day is never fun. Especially when you are hungover, heartbroken, and lost deep in the dense bush of Fiordland - hunting a dangerous and elusively extinct giant bird.

Hours after losing his girlfriend of 7 years, city boy Blake finds himself whisked away by an international team of mysterious explorers - hoping to find the last remaining Dinoris giganteus: The South Island Moa.

With questionable morals, minimal phone battery, and a fairly non-existent target - it would seem their task was impossible. The interference of a furious local gang, a dangerously unstable ex-park-ranger and a particularly desperate NZ Tourism Board don’t help much either.

Set over two days – “Moa Hunt” is an absurd, fast-paced adventure comedy about following your dreams, being true to your mates, and possibly getting some more realistic dreams.
