Dr Ryan Jenkins, a young psychiatrist, is faced with a decision that has deadly consequences. A middle aged man, John Winters, approaches Dr Jenkins to help him quell the haunting flashbacks of terrified screams in his mind. He claims they are remnants of post-traumatic stress from his time served in Afghanistan and so the doctor does his best to help. In reality John is attempting to subdue his conscience, working through the deeds of a violent past in search of redemption.

The doctor remains unaware of his patient’s malevolent history until he starts to see a new patient, Sarah Holmes. Attractive and intelligent, Sarah is emotionally scarred by a horrific attack containing the hallmarks of a killer on the loose. As the sole surviving victim, Police said she was lucky to have escaped. Dr Jenkins empathises with Sarah’s instinctive desire for vengeance against her attacker, forging a strong bond which blurs the lines between patient and doctor.

As the doctor gets a glimpse through the attacker’s psyche, he begins to connect the dots. Could it be true that both patients are unwittingly linked together? Sarah desperately longs for closure and the facts of reality versus delusion are brought into question.
