When the Kingi whanau strike gold on their newly acquired reclaimed land, a film crew follows their journey from Pipiwai to the
Big Smoke where they hope to cash in on the gold. The Kingi's don’t receive the warmest welcome - managing to piss off Jafas with all
manner of escapades, from digging a hangi pit in a golf course to pig hunting in downtown Auckland.
By the time the Kingi's realize all the gold in the world won't bring them the freedom and happiness they have in Pipiwai, they manage to have warmed the hearts of their new Auckland acquaintances who are reluctant to see them go.
Shot in mocumentary style, this laugh a minute film is fun for everyone.
