a ambulance driver and crime novel fan who works through the chaos of the christchurch earthquake finds something odd about a seemingly normal death of a man crushed under a wall of bricks, he then decides to investigate the mans back ground whilst working in the aftermarth. Dodging police cordons, aftershocks and crumbling buildings he discovers he was right and all is not as it seems.
