Paparazzi

A “CubeBrick Productions” FILM
WRITTEN BY Reza Fuard

Aggy is a big city girl with big city dreams. She’s about to enter into Fashion School where her passion is photography. Her favourite hobbies are reading celebrity fashion mags and mixing with the in crowd. Her trusty camera is never far away and she has her own collection of paparazzi pics.

However, before she starts her degree she’s forced to spend the summer with her father and step family in a small quaint town.

This is the last thing she wants to do as her friends get to party and shmooze away.

Things get worse when she finds out the town doesn’t even stock celebrity magazines!

After moping about, her father demands she finds a job. She sees an ad for the newspaper photographer, lands the job and starts out with some mundane assignments; the opening of the new butcher shop, the bi-centenary of the library, the knitting needle clubs annual exhibition.

To help relieve her boredom, she decides to find out some real gossip with disastrous effects!

Why was Mrs Goodrick spotted taking a bag of carrots to Mr Delaney’s house one evening?
What is ‘homeless man’ keeping secret under the bridge?
Who stole the towns parrot?

Many of the townsfolk become upset about being exposed and want her gone.

But it takes a chance encounter with a long forgotten celebrity to turn Aggies thinking around.

In the end she realises it’s not about the glitz and glam that make people who they are, but how they treat others that counts.

She is then able to see the real stars of the community and helps bring the town together to celebrate them.

Leaving to head back to the big city she is filled with a bigger sense of purpose to the world and her place in it.
