It is 2150, contact has been made with alien life, and the aliens and we now have the choice to live on Earth or planet 187. Humans migrate in millions. The relationship between the two species becomes strained. For a while a conservative religious movement vows to repel the settlers and resorting to terrorism they fight against human colonisation. Fortunately the movement is quelled and the danger gone, just an unspoken resentment lingers.

A cop is retiring, having done the job on 187 he was recruited for, years after losing his wife and child in a terror attack he knows he has given his all to securing peace on the planet for both species, he decides to move home to Earth.

But now home, he is approached by the mother of a woman killed on 187 who is pleading with him to go back and investigate. She died in a car crash but the mother claims to have evidence that points to murder, and she claims the killer was an alien, the same alien suspected of conducting the terror attack that killed the cops family but was never proven guilty. The cop reluctantly agrees to investigate, never expecting to find any more than a tragic car crash. But what he stumbles upon is far more sinister and far reaching than just the murder of a woman who worked for a high-ranking diplomat in the alien government.

Now the cop must learn to trust those he never thought he could and work with them to discover the truth, a secret that cuts deep into the heart of human alien relationships, and threatens to change life for all.
