Head bleeding, Vincent wakes up in a bush, a man’s shadow moving over him. He tries to recollect what has happened but can’t remember the last three days of his life. Who is the man and why is his best friend, Russell, lying dead beside him?
All Vincent can recall is arriving at the small town of Hindley to investigate a murder. This town is where Vincent grew up; bringing back memories he would rather forget. Everything started to go hazy. Then... nothing.
Vincent picks himself up. In the distance, the man is waiting, watching him. But Vincent can’t see his face. The man walks away, out of sight.
Returning home, Vincent is shocked to learn that he is the prime suspect in Russell’s murder. Desperate to prove his innocence, Vincent must find out what happened over those lost three days and the identity of the mysterious man. Yet all the evidence points to Vincent.
Even his girlfriend, Kate, accuses Vincent of Russell’s death. Vincent feels a strange anger growing inside him. Suddenly, he realises he has shoved Kate against the wall in a fit of rage. The normal Vincent would never do this. What has he become? Maybe he did kill Russell. Maybe he is a murderer.
As Vincent tries to piece together what has happened, he delves deeper into his past and starts to understand who he really is. The closer he gets to the truth, the question becomes not whether he is the killer, but whether he knows himself at all.
The truth is hard to see.
