He’s a stranger in a strange town, on the run and trying to just pass through. But this is no ordinary fugitive: this is a green skinned, three fingered extraterrestrial with an Atomic Discombobulator and a love of pink lamingtons.
Crashing off the coast of a New Zealand town so small it barely appears on any maps, this man from the far reaches of known space washes up on a lonely shore. He is discovered by a young boy, Marcus, and his dog and brought into the small seaside town. But the stranger is being tracked: a discredited scientist and a low-down, no goodnik intergalactic bounty hunter both want him. One wants the stranger’s secrets, the other his brain and not necessarily in the order you think.
The locals, too, are wary of him. Is this strange spaceman friendly? Or does he bring destruction, knowingly or unknowingly, to their home? Can he ever hope to fit in?
There’s dog headed aliens, a community banding together, gun fights, ray guns, forbidden love, fish’n’chips, a deranged scientist and sponge with pink icing and coconut.
