“You settled Mum. Your life was dull and boring and I don’t want to end up like you!”
Kerry Tanner can’t believe her daughter Alison feels this way. What’s wrong with her life? Kerry has been a great wife and mother. She’s been a manager in the same supermarket for the last ten years. Everyone can rely on Kerry.
On the day that Alison is about to board a plane to Australia, to leave her life behind forever, she challenges Kerry one more time to tell her one insane, incredible experience that she’s ever had. When Kerry hesitates, Alison heads towards the airport doors until Kerry suddenly screams out:
“I spent ten days in Ireland having mad passionate sex with David Byrne!”
The only trouble with that is, David Byrne is currently the hottest actor in Hollywood. He’s top billing in every A-list movie and the heart-throb of every woman. No-one in their right mind could honestly believe that this ordinary woman from Invercargill could have had anything to do with this Hollywood god.
Now Kerry must overcome the ridicule of her hometown and the shame of her family with no way to prove her dirty little secret.
