‘District 9’ meets ‘Never Let Me Go’.

In a parallel present, human farming and cannibalism have been the norm for decades … until now. Society has caught up with the ethical dilemma of eating other people and new government laws have made it illegal to grow and sell human meat. This (science fiction) documentary follows the people involved in enforcing the laws, the society affected by this change in culture, the meat workers and the people who are released moments before they were to be butchered.
The documentary also looks back in time to when human farming began and when society as a whole was able to turn a blind eye and consume human flesh without any ethical concerns.

The film will be a series of dramatised recreations, vox pops, interviews with leading people in their fields, the farmers and finally the story of those who have been released from the farms.
