The Neighbour's Cat

A “Everything Sticks Film Collective” FILM
WRITTEN BY Stu Gilpin

In 2005, police investigated reports of a pungent smell coming from a suburban property. Inside, they found the chewed, decayed body of an elderly woman, numerous healthy cats & a video camera.

Six years later they have released the unedited contents of that camera. It details the events at a dinner party of six 30-somethings. They’re celebrating the birthday of Mike who seems to have a history of making strange birthday requests. Requests that it seems the group is unable to deny.

This year’s wish involves the sacrificing of an animal – specifically an annoying cat, that they all hate, that belongs to the old lady next door.

Eventually the deed gets done and when the old lady goes searching for her missing cat, it becomes apparent to the party-goers that maybe it wasn’t such a good idea after all.
