A recently-made redundant young man sets out to write a self-help book for the broad unemployed public. His general light-hearted and quirky approach to his new way of living inspires fellow friends and family members. But as he carries on with social experiments, exploring sexual freedom and inventing alternative ways for the unemployed to spend their time, all in the greater good of his book project, he quickly realises that he can't always solve other peoples problems and as an affect from trying, his close friendships have all been worn thin. Even the small publishing agency that he's being trying to get on board also turned things on their head by pointing out the irony of his book title and asking if the guide itself is supposed to be unemployed. So he finds himself back at square one, patching up friendships, working part-time, but still fits in the time to work on his new novel "The Unemployed-Guide to Life - A Story of Irony"
