A hostile universe hangs over a suburban house where Sarah is suffering a bad dream, but she is safe with her fiance, James. The next evening they pick up James' brother, Carson and his free-loading mate Peter before leaving the city.
Looking forward to a weekend away in their hometown, they take a short-cut suggested by Sarah...but within the desolate countryside they encounter a strange mist...as the car cuts through the fog, the vehicle suddenly plummets headfirst into a never-ending pitch-black void...struggling to rationalise their horrifying predicament, the occupants are driven to the brink of sanity...As they question their beliefs, Sarah glimpses something in the darkness... Stuck together, the four must fight not only for their survival, but also for a way out, if there is one...
