When Bram moves back to Wellington to live with his best friends Tama and Mary, he stumbles across a strange map of the city. Following its directions, he discovers that hidden within Wellington's maze like streets lies another city, The Winding City.

A nexus between potential, reality and dreams; The Winding City has doorways to anywhere and Bram begins to realise that anywhere is moving into his home town. What he doesn't know is that the local city council is also aware and will stop at nothing to keep him from revealing the city's best kept secret.
