David Liu gets fired from work, dumped by girlfriend, and kicked out of his flat, all on the same day. He decides to purchase a lotto ticket. Sophia Atkinson is sick of pleading with the producers for more time and more money. Her life-long dream of making a movie is going down the drain with every spent cent and every ticking second. Then a much-needed prop goes missing. Aziz Jamal leaves Auckland university to prepare for soccer as usual. His back bag carries paper assignments, soccer gear, and a ticking bomb.

Aziz walks down the crowded city streets with a big smile on his face, and no idea about the bomb on his back. Victor kahui has been stuck with the gangster life-style for a long while, studying every move and every detail of a notorious gang that plans to rob a number of banks in a single strike. Victor's undercover mission is going as planned until a gang member discovers who Victor really is.
