Big Beach is the healthiest town in NZ, where the locals live to a ripe old age. When TVNZ reports on the longevity of Big Beach residents, pensioners from all over the country move to the town. There is a boom in the retirement home industry and sales of false teeth, haemorrhoid cream and mobility scooters in the area rocket.
Lucas and Josh run the local funeral parlour, left to them by their late father who died when he drunkenly fell asleep in a coffin and got himself cremated. They can’t sell the business as there are so many debts and the property itself is in trust, so they decide to stay in business long enough to make enough money to skip town and start again somewhere the average age of the residents is under 83.
