Chasing Shadows

A team of students hoping to win an online competition for authentic ghost footage must face a demonic force they awaken at an old abandoned boarding school.

The Challenge: An online competition for authentic ghost footage.

The Team: Thomas, Director & Camera-Operator. An ambitious 3rd year Film Student who puts the team together, confident of a win, and wants to make a documentary in the process; Kim, Producer & Camera-Operator. 1st year Masters student, reluctantly roped in for her organisational skills; Nick, 2nd year Student, Sound Recorder; Jen, 1st year Student, Sound Recorder; Andy, Assistant - Nick's friend - wrangles his way in by offering an EMF meter.

As the team prepares they poke fun at films like The Blair Witch Project and ghost-hunt TV shows. They arrive at the target location – a spooky old abandoned Catholic School, allegedly haunted, the electricity off. As they begin to explore with their torches and cameras, Thomas mentions a strange cult rumoured to have performed rituals there in the past as they pick up some brief EMF fluctuations…

Andy winds up the others by producing a Ouija board, but convinces them to join in if they hope to contact an actual ghost. They are unsettled when the device spells “Get Out” and there is a noise from upstairs. In a first floor room they find a fallen crucifix as some of the team become a little concerned at messing with the unknown. Andy attempts to calm them by admitting responsibility for the Ouija board message...but they hear footsteps from above...unnerved, they ascend to the top floor…and are confronted by a menacing hooded figure, with others appearing as they retreat downstairs...

Trapped inside the building and stalked by demonic entities, Thomas and his crew will have a great chance of winning the competition…if they can make it out alive!
