Jessica, a photography student, moves in with her brother Scott into an inner city apartment. New to a big city she feels anxious but excited.

Jessica finds it difficult to connect with Scott and is upset that he won’t introduce her to his new girlfriend Mary, who lives in an apartment on the same floor.
Scott’s evasiveness upsets Jessica at first, and leaves her feeling lonely and adrift in a claustrophobic apartment building.
Jessica becomes fearful when her brother’s absences increase and when strange images begin to appear in her photographs. Who is Mary? Why does she guard her privacy so rigidly? What is behind the door in her apartment down the hallway?

When an old woman, Margery makes contact with Jessica to deliver some shattering information she is drawn into a desperate struggle with an unimaginable threat.
Can Jessica stop the sinister, relentless forces that want to snatch her brother away?
