In a small rural town, crooked pharmacist Carl Marks has kept sleep at bay for sixty days. Before the virus, he manufactured the illicit psycho-stimulant “Dethamphetamine” for a city drug dealer, and to survive, he has become addicted to his own product. Wandering the countryside in a speed-fuelled daze, he’s joined by Crystal, a damaged young woman who believes God has saved her to keep His words alive.
Using intravenous drugs and self-inflicted pain to stay awake until the virus dissipates, the pair form a disturbing bond as they descend into hallucinatory madness. But their problems multiply when Carl's sadistic dealer arrives to claim his Dethamphetamine, and as a terrifying sleep-deprived psychosis closes in, the fight for life is no longer just a mental battle…
