In the not-too-distant future, the secret to immortality is readily available to anyone with enough money. The super rich can live forever, lives of luxury and leisure, while the poor only exist to clean their houses, park their cars and mow their lawns.
But, as a wise man (or John Cougar Mellencamp) once sang, life goes on long after the thrill of living is gone. Forever is a long time and, eventually, even immortality gets boring. Extreme sports aren’t so extreme when you know you won’t die. The thrill-seekers turn to more and more extreme and violent pastimes to get their kicks – ultra-violence, brutal rape and even murder – forming gangs and descending on the ghettos to target the mortal poor.
Mahuika and Pita, the maid and gardener for the wealthy Coleridge family, work hard and keep their heads down. But when the head of the family tries to rape Mahuika and Pita comes to her aid, they decide to find a way of killing the immortals. Can they find a way and lead an army of the poor against the super rich?
