Sophie and her friends are just typical North Shore teenage kids. They grew up and went to school together, graduated from High School together and are about to go flatting together.
The reality however is that they can't afford it, until John the "rugby head" finds a place that they can, he just forgets to tell them that it’s ‘supposedly’ haunted.
After having moved in for a while John reveals the truth which is not taken well by the less than impressed girls and dismissed by the testosterone-filled boys. The boys knowing how the girls feel start playing scary pranks on the continuously. The girls, finally sick of being scared, get the boys back in a big way and so they all agree to a truce.
They go back to being typical teenagers and after their successful horror-themed house-warming party; they realize that they are not alone. Suddenly trapped in the house they are fighting for their lives as something is picking them off one by one and forcing them to relive their pranks - only this time the pranks are for real.
Amongst all this horror, innocent Sophie starts to remember vague memories about things her late grandmother - a Shaman - taught her when she was a little girl. But, the more she remembers, the more she is forced into the terrifying, unknown, spiritual world. The closer she gets to the truth, the more afraid she becomes... because she knows that if she can't - or won't - face this evil, they will all die.
