A “Talking Hawker Pictures” FILM
WRITTEN BY Luke Hawker

Posted in isolated Northland, Internet hardware technician JEFF is traveling the countryside prepping for the new super broadband instillation. Away from his home and family, his days are filled with a monotonous technical grind punctuated by the odd frosty encounter with the locals. His only source of comfort comes from the infrequent Skype and emails he receives from his young and supportive family.
Filling his secluded nights trolling the depths of the internet, one night Jeff happens upon a video titled 'Jeff's Death'. Watching with intrigue Jeff is shocked as the video shows clear footage of himself being tutored and murdered by a shadow faceless figure in a grey suit.
Shaken by the vivid images, Jeff continues on through the countryside with his work but his nerves only become more fractured as he begins receiving a string of strange emails and texts with obscure yet hateful intent. Reaching out to his family gives him no reprieve as he makes the horrid discovery that his Skype calls are all prerecorded. Investigating his computer, he finds a hidden folder containing videos of all his past and future Skype chats, along with hours of voyeuristic footage of himself. Each time he watches the videos they seem to change subtly but all bare the shadowy GREY MAN in various states of hiding, intimidating or mutilating the people in the videos.
As the days ware on, every digital devices around Jeff seem to turn and conspire against him, even when being turned off or destroyed. As Jeff's perceptions of both the digital and real world come crashing down, the locals begin to catch on to this outsiders true purpose and he himself realises his own work may have had a more sinister undertone. But nothing can prepare Jeff when in the real world he comes face to faceless face with, the Grey man.
