Following her execution by hanging on August, 12 1895, the murderous shadow of Minnie Dean’s legacy, faded into the seedy side of New Zealand history and urban legend. In 1980, 85 years later, a bunch of bored, sexy Southland teens have a party at her graveside. Driven by tedium and stupidity, they raise the spirit of this desperate woman, New Zealand’s first, and only female serial killer. Soon, strange occurrences and a multitude of gory deaths chill the townspeople – who now believe that Minnie is back…to finish what she started. This is the true, untold story of those events and people.

Bored home town girl, Jamie Leigh is itching to get away from her family, her school, her friends and everything she knows. Until her new family is blessed with the baby brother she always wanted, tying her to the town she’s sick of, the mother she bickers with and the step father she just can’t bring herself to trust. She takes her only joy in causing havoc with her loser friends every weekend, getting drunk, having promiscuous sex and causing mischief. One evening the fun goes too far and the friends bite off more than they can chew when they raise the spirit of New Zealand’s notorious female murderer. In the wake of the incident, Jamie’s friends and the townspeople’s babies start dropping like flies and as the body count rises, the town closes in on itself. These are the events of those final days.
