On a remote island, rogue scientist Jamie Green and her team have used fossil DNA to clone a pair of breeding Moas. But things go terribly wrong when a tsunami carrying a radioactive cloud hits their island, turning the Moas into crazed, flesh eating monsters. Will Jamie be able to save humanity from the Moa-Nami now racing towards the mainland?

Scientist and solo mum Jamie Green wants to be the first in the world to clone an extinct species. She hates rules, despises political correctness and doesn’t appreciate being slowed down by Kiwi bureaucracy. When her team discovers Moa DNA on a remote island, she decides to keep it secret so she doesn’t get ‘interfered with’.

Leaving her son at a coastal summer camp, she takes a boat to the island. In her haste, she has her team cut a few scientific corners. They succeed, resurrecting a breeding pair of the giant birds. But, there’s something unnerving about Jamie’s creations. Insatiably fornicating and highly aggressive, the new Moa lay several clutches of eggs within their first week.

Things go wrong when another earthquake hits Japan, breaking the Fukashima reactor in half and creating a massive Tsunami that pushes a radioactive cloud in front of it as it plows across the Pacific. When the cloud hits Jaime’s island, the Moas eggs spontaneously hatch. As bad science mixes with radiation, the Moa chicks grow to full-size within minutes. The Moas attack the scientists who bar themselves in the lab. Crazed, radioactive and blood thirsty, they gain power and strength from killing everything in sight, their eyes glowing a radioactive red.

As the Moa swamped tsunami rockets towards the mainland and her son’s summer camp, Jamie enters into a desperate fight for survival.

But will one woman and a machete be enough to save the defenseless children from the flesh eating Moas?
