PARENT TEACHER NIGHT

Convinced that their high school principal is a nefarious necromancer, a dorky, occult-obsessed student and an incompetent, misanthropic teacher soon realize that they’re the only thing standing between the Earth and a demonic invasion.

A “Midnight Creative” FILM
WRITTEN BY M.T

LINCOLN REID hates his life. He’s 16, obsessed with the occult, and is unpopular with everybody aside from his mother (who has no idea that he’s a pariah). The only thing that keeps him showing up to school is his fascination with tracking the mysterious occurrences that have been happening on campus ever since the arrival of the school’s new headmaster, Principal Avery.

JERRY BUCKMAN also hates his life. He’s a failed musician who’s about to turn 35, and is suddenly hit with the realization that he will never achieve his rock star dream. He’s going to be stuck as a (shitty) high school teacher forever. In fact, the only thing Jerry hates more than his life is the abrasive weirdo in one of his music classes— Lincoln.

The feeling is mutual. Lincoln and Jerry are essentially arch-enemies.

The two men suddenly find their worlds forced together at Central High School’s annual Parent Teacher Night, where Jerry learns that the woman he has been having a casual romance with is in fact... Lincoln’s mom!

This bombshell is literally the worst.revelation.ever, but before either one of them gets a chance to fully process the ramifications of the situation—

ALL THE LIGHTS ALL OVER CAMPUS SUDDENLY CUT OUT. Followed by minor TREMORS.

A power cut? "Probably caused by the earthquake."

Then how come nobody can get any cellphone reception either? "Good question."

And what’s the deal with the thick blanket of fog that has suddenly engulfed everything? "Um, earthquakes cause impromptu, mystery-fog all the time, right? ...Right?"

It isn't long before the MUTILATED CORPSE of the school groundskeeper is discovered. And anybody else foolish enough to venture out into the darkness and fog alone are also treated to a similar outcome.

Everybody also has an unpleasant sensation that they are being watched.

Some thing is stalking them. Hunting them. Something malevolent, and otherworldly, and accompanied by the distinct, nauseating odor of sulfur.

Throughout all the evading and bickering, Lincoln and Jerry are forced to reconcile their differences while doing whatever they must to keep everyone safe.

There’s also that nagging question on both men’s minds: Where’s Principal Avery?
