The aftermath of a Gisborne new years come down, all these friends want to do is get home to Christchurch. Low on money, food and clean undies they are in desperate need of a short cut home.

Four friends are completely rinsed out after the best New Years of their lives in Gisborne. After the majority of the hangover is gone and the necessary pieces are picked up, the long slog home to Christchurch begins.
Hungry, tired and broke, tempers flare within the confines of the vehicle and some honest truths are shared, making friends into enemies. All they want is a short cut home.
The shorter route is more treacherous than expected, which costs them their ride and belongings. Luckily they stumble across an abandoned estate to brave the cold night. Amongst the bickering and blaming, the true theme of the estate reveals itself and it seems there may be residents in house.
