The Ghost Master

A 19th Century professional ghost buster attempts to communicate with a malevolent spirit terrorizing a country homestead, only to find himself the victim of a larger conspiracy instigated by the living who reside there.

Thomas Blake is a 'Ghost Master' - a paranormal investigator who has journeyed across the world to help a family being frightened out of their wits. The Radcliffe family - Sheridan, his wife Charlotte, their 13 year old son Bram and their servants Mrs Fairfax, William and Areta - are being terrorized by what seems to be the demonic ghost of Sophie, their recently deceased 15 year old daughter.

Armed with the latest scientific equipment, Thomas sets about trying to find evidence of Sophie. After a number of frightening encounters and gathering of compelling evidence, Thomas feels that he may have his first genuine haunting in his hands, but the behavior of the family arouses his suspicions as does their unwillingness to answer questions. How did Sophie die? Why does the house perpetually smell of ash? Why does the maid Areta insist that Thomas leave immediately? And who dug up Sophie's grave and stole her body on the night she was buried?

As Sophie manifests each night to attack a family member, Thomas begins to wonder about the secrets surrounding her death. As he probes for the facts, Areta the housemaid suggests that there are darker forces at work, other than Sophie, which controls the house, the land and is driven by the injustice and crimes committed by the family. As Thomas gets closer to the truth, Sheridan grows more hostile to his presence while the dark thing that dwells within Radcliffe House threatens to take Bram away just as it did Sophie.

At the end, only the Ghost Master, who never believed in the supernatural, can find a way to end the horror...or perish in the attempt.
