1854. A group of shipwrecked settlers in an undiscovered West Coast cove find themselves disappearing one by one. Although they fear that someone within their group is responsible, they begin to believe they may be at the mercy of something far more ancient… the Moehau, a race of long haired undead.

1854. After a failed mutiny, a group of shipwrecked settlers in an undiscovered West Coast cove struggle to build an encampment and survive their tortured conditions. Their defacto leader becomes the young wife to the dead captain, Mary, who only barely manages to hold the group together. At each other’s throats, running low on supplies, they are forced further into the bush, and unwittingly invite something back to their camp. One by one the settlers begin to go missing. Fearing they are under attack from local Maori, Mary enters the bush alone, attempting to broker peace. However, upon finding them, they appear to fear her like a plague and issue a warning that she is infact the one dangerous to them. Mary returns to camp, where the settlers have turned on each other, believing that someone within their group is responsible… although Mary believes that they may be at the mercy of something far more ancient and terrifying… and the stories the Maori have told her of the Moehau, a race of long haired undead, start to feel frighteningly resonant.
