The year is 1984, amidst the serene backdrop of rural New Zealand.

Toa is a small idilic settlement which harbours its own deep seeded secrets.

On a routine prison transfer a group of convicts escape and tread through the township with murderous intent. Amongst the convicts lies a man of pure evil with a soul trenched in rage and furnaced in hate. When this evil is unleashed there are unfathomable reprecations for everyone. But when extreme evil and love collide a new monster is revealed. This is judgement, this is redemption, this is Toa.
