Based on a true story, Amara Tristam is a typical 14 year old girl that thinks bad things don't happen. At school Amara is a popular girl that is both liked and hated, she has a lot of friends and acts well above her age. Amara's mother Clare, works as a teacher in Hedley High school and is rarely present in Amara's life, only on the occasional night when she has internet dates with her internet partner Peter.
However Amara's life begins to fall apart piece by piece when the internet hacker ,username463, threatens her with a revealing photo. Amara refuses to give in to his threats but username463 uses technology to cage Amara in. Together, username463 and his accomplices torment Amara and transform her life into a true horror story.
No one believes that Amara is being stalked by the internet hacker and are convinced that she is doing it for attention. She loses all her support and Amara's life relentlessly unravels as she is backed into a corner with everything piling against her, it is no longer clear if Amara can escape this nightmare as username463 stays constantly out of her reach.
